Sit Sketch: Still Lifes with Martha Ferguson
Thursday, August 20 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Join us for a relaxed and inspiring evening of still-life sketching at the Lightner Museum with local artist Martha Ferguson. This workshop will take place in the museum's front lobby, where participants will draw from a carefully arranged still-life display. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking to slow down and sharpen your observational skills, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with art in a welcoming, creative environment.
The workshop will begin with a brief demonstration and artist talk, during which Martha will share techniques for observing light, form, proportion, and composition. Following the demonstration, participants will create their own still-life sketches while Martha offers individualized guidance, feedback, and answers to questions throughout the session. Martha will visit with each artist to assist and answer questions about their work.
